An individual that enrolls in our program will complete a full assessment within their own community to in order to establish trust to ensure successful engagement. They will then be paired with a peer mentor to help them find stimulating environments that support well-being, identify pleasing surroundings that encourage good physical and mental health, while expanding knowledge and skills. We have skilled mentors who take a step-by-step process to offer assistance with addressing their needs. BGG4H prepares each individual for the challenges they will by approached with in life utilizing a strategic proactive plan. BGG4H uses a motivational model that increases self-determination and self-confidence that increases independence with a step-by-step peer approach. We also Collaborate with community partners, and stakeholders to provide a coordination of care holistic approach. Our program focuses on increasing chances of employment, maintaining employment, and helping them learn to manage daily challenges to ensure positive outcomes of success. These are just a couple of things that sets us apart from other related services.
Reentry programs are designed to assist incarcerated individuals with a successful transition to their community after they are released. Improving reentry is a critical component of BGG4H's Strategy to reduce drug use and its consequences
Recidivism & Alternative Sentencing
Recidivism is the act of a person repeating an undesirable behavior after they have either experienced negative consequences of that behavior, or have been trained to extinguish that behavior. BGG4H also has 8 week programs for alternative to sentencing and deferred prosecution.
BGG4H operates through a process of change in which individuals improve their health and wellness, live self-directed lives, and strive to reach their full potential. Participants will be supported through an individual wellness plan created by participant that acts as a guide to developing and maintaining abstinence.
